Reed Manglers and associates inhabit various parts of the British Isles and over the years have made occasional visits to a wide variety of Inland and Coastal Waters. Singly, collectively or associating with other friendly species they have been spotted on the following areas (Asterisks denote more common habitats)

Kennet and Avon Navigation (end to end - BEFORE it was re-opened)
Stratford, Oxford, Coventry, Grand Union canals and the Birmingham Canal Navigation
Sharpness Canal
Avon Ring
River Hamble
Solent, English Channel, Atlantic, Irish Sea (Passage Southampton - Dartmouth - Largs)
North Sea (Grimsby to Dunbar)
Northern France St Malo etc
